Barton had a run of several kits back in April or so. I bought the skins from ImprobableConstruct recently and he has two sets available now.You can always download the drawings and find a local or internet based shop that can make the parts for you.

Your build looks awesome! I also received the skins recently from improbable and I can't wait to finish everything.
The only thing that has been holding me up is the electronics layout. I have been thinking of a way to do it very neat and your method looks AWESOME.
Any chance would you mind sharing your method of creating the carbon fiber plates? Also are the wires run in between the carbon and MDF or under the MDF?
After seeing yours, I would love to make mine nearly as clean and neat.
Any advice would be really appriciated.

Thanks Mike!My base is 3/4 MDF and I am running the wires through the base and under. There is a nice space under there as long as you keep the wires secured to the underside. I ran my 24v power and ground through to the back side into two distribution blocks. I am also adding a panel with quick disconnects for the stepper motor drive cables.

Interesting. I must have missed the other posts talking about mounting the laser psu above the electronics bay. Will the steel plate be supported only on three sides (makerslide to the left, then front and back)? I have seen some discussions about keeping the laser psu as far away as possible from some of the other electronics (stepper drivers, limit switch wiring). Your design sounds like it will make it easy to keep the signal cross-talk down to a minimum.

I am using 4 L brackets to suspend the plate. Two on each side(L+R) using the slot retainer nuts and then I will drill holes in the plate to secure it to the brackets. All the high voltage will be up high so it should minimize any potential interference. My 24v psu and stepper drivers are pretty big and take up a lot of real estate and I don't know if I could have found a spot for it down below. I used a scrap piece of alupanel sandwiched between the extrusions to create a shelf for my laser power supply.
It seems to be working well. It was a bit of a pain to get it in there, but its solid.

Photo update.I decided to build a dedicated cabinet for the laser. I built two drawers on one side and utilized the other side for the fan, air assist pump, and the cooling system. The exhaust fan will be enclosed in the lower box and will vent out the side. Then the other items will be mounted to the top of that platform. I also wired the cabinet with some switched outlets to power the accessories.

Halloween Update!I had some clearance issues with the electronics module and I nixed the SSR's so I tore it down and rebuilt it. I put the 24v distribution blocks in the spot where the SSR's were originally. Tomorrow I will make all the final connections, and install the laser PSU.

Do you have a BOM for your electronics? I want to do the same set up but am not sure where to get the parts and what I need. I have the same DSP, controllers, PSU and need the rest.

Thinking about following your lead and using a steel plate - how thick is your plate? Haven't done much (any) work with steel - going thin would be easier to work with but I'm not sure how much it would deflect when loaded.
