Methods of cooling laser tubes

cooling pump requirements

Postby J45on » Thu Jun 30, 2011 7:19 pm

Is there a recommended flow rate etc for cooling a 40W laser tube ?
I currently have a 20L/5 gallons sealed lid bucket and i'm looking for an aquarium pump on eBay.
Obviously I need to consider pump hight but what sort of litre/gallon per hour would I need ?
EDIT I do plan to add a small radiator at a later date if that makes a difference.

I use a pond pump from Harbor Freight. Is is rated for about 260GPH, but by the time it goes through everything, I think it is doing about 30GPH.
