Folks:

I just completed the prototype of a mini Z power bed for the small engraving machine. See my Youtube posted at http://www.lightobject.info/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=1232

In the beginning, I'll get 5~10 unit before full production and it should be available in about 2 weeks. Early bird is welcome! The unit comes as a kit. It should take 45~50min or less to assembly it. Note, there is no driver or controller included but available on my site. It come with a a 42 series stepping motor capable to left 5lb object. You may want to change the focus lens to 38.5mm to take the advantage of full extension.

Regards,
Marco

Do you think it would fit the 4th generation hobby laser from FSL?

The rail layout for the K40 looks different to the FSL laser.

Sorry I don't know as I don't have FSL machine. As matter of fact, I'll launch my own desktop 40W laser machine with the AWC608 DSP controller and with the power bed for less price. It will be DIY. Time frame: about 3 month.

Currently, I'm working on a new design of the XY stages and laser head. The preformance will be promising. Plus, a bigger power bed will be launched about the same time. 400x600 and 900x1200 or order upon request.

For those of us who would consider purchasing it, can you supply a full set of dimensions for the table and the area around the motor so we can determine if it will fit or not?
