My Parts that I have on order from China should be sent out today.

I hope my MakerSlide isn't too far behind.

I'm shopping for 80/20 aluminum for my frame and found a local supplier they cut to tight tolerances and also can install a cam locking system on the ends for me. So as soon as I get my parts and start laying everything out I will make a drawing in SketchUp so I know what all my dimensions will be and get a quote from them. I think it will will be close to $5 a foot which I think is pretty good especially for local.

Got my MakerSlide in yesterday. I should have enough to do my CO2 laser build and then I hope to do a 3D Printer as well. Thanks Bart!

Always a good feeling when you start getting your parts in. Which company did you order you hardware from? Also interested in the dimensions of the hole spacing on the pulleys.
thanks

Made my first prototype carriage. If you are wonder why there are two holes in it I just used that area to make some 1/4" spacers for my v wheels. Also I have leanred that if you use one of the washers ( included with the double bearing vwheels ) in between the the two bearing of the vwheel you can lock the screw down and the wheel will still role freely.

Because of the parts I'm using I was stuck using a particular stepper motor that was a bit pricey in comparison to the more common steppers. but I found one that I have on order to see if it is a good fit. Here is the link seems to be a pretty fair price.

Why why you were stuck using a particular stepper motor? Shaft diameter?
