It also depends on how you terminate the motors into the cables, and how tightly you run the cables.
I actually mounted the y-axis to my bot wrong, so in the process of disassembly I measured the longest motor cable. It came out to 75cm. I would get all four cables no shorter than that and then trim them when you crimp the connectors for the RAMPS.

Would the connectors even fit through the extrusion conduits in the makerslide rails? What about the bottom rails which are not makerslide? Just wondering if pre-cut/pre-crimped wires would even be feasible...

A molex connector barely fits. I don't think pre-crimped cables are very feasible.

One more question about the MK7. I've noticed that most extruders have a spring to keep the filament next to the drive gear. How does the MK7 do that?

You might find a picture or two here.

The mk7 has a delrin plunger that is just the right size. The combination of the slipperiness of the delrin and its slight compressibility makes it the equivalent of an extraordinarily stiff spring. And although it's a tad difficult to start feeding the plastic, once it grips it never lets go.

Wait a minute, how did you get a Quantum already? And how did you make it black instead of blue?! :D
