And again answered.. So we just need to design and print an angular bracket and we can hook up any existing fanduct there is on thingiverse . Superb !!

Also, I've started printing! Here's a video.

This looks really great. Is the ABS also from makerbot?

Not in particular that one, but there are many designs but it is all the same concept, yes.
First I need to get my hands on the OrdBot and then I will select a fanduct that would fit, need to find out what room would be left, and then design an angular branket to get from the holes, on the right side of the extruder plate, to the nozzle.
You want to have a breeze blowing over the printed object and some breeze to cool the extruder barrel to prevent backflow..
Although I never had any problems with backflow, I notice differences with/or without cooling on a PLA print so therefor I would like to have the fan underneath the x carriage! :-)

I favor this one http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17035 as is has a flap to control the airflow .. directing it more to the barrel or more to the print itself.

The ABS is from makerbot, but it is the same as the ultimachine ABS. Ultimachine was out of stock when I ordered, so makerbot it was.
My build platform is a PCB heater with an aluminum heat spreader. I have a piece of 0.04" thick brass with painters tape clipped on top of the spreader. That way, when I do large builds, I can just unclip the plate, flex it, and the part pops off.
Right now I'm printing a menagerie of squirrels. :)

Nice squirrel!

I think a printed Arduino-controlled cat feeder is on my project list lol

PLA is kid-safe, correct? would be nice to print some toys for my niece.

Jeremy,
Here's a fun object to print. I wish I knew where I downloaded it from, I've been printing and giving these away for a couple of years. It really shows off the power of 3d printing. I like printing them with zero infill in clear or translucent plastic.
