Excellent idea! Two questions.
1. What is the aluminum angle support for on the back of the inverted x gantry?
2. What hot end are you using?

Thanks.

Thanks!
1. Thats to have something to mount the FFC cable to when i try to connect the X gantry via FFC cable loop later as i'm scheming to do at some point.
2. I believe its an Arcool, along with the "Gregs Wades Reloaded" extruder drive graciously loaned to me by mxb until i can print and cobble together my own.

Brilliant idea!
I was briefly entertaining a similar one (mounting the bracket inverted), but quickly realised my hot end (arcol.hu as well, but v4.0) is nowhere near being long enough to clear the bracket.

Then i thought i'd make some sort of an "extender" to mount between the extruder and hotend and finally gave up (because in the end, that would actually be harder than making an adapter plate).
