It is PS:One CNC night again. Tonight they have an interesting talk on computer vision on the Android platform. The guy that was on Hackaday this week for the CV hexbug is giving the talk.

Alledgedly it will be streamed. I'll post a link here and on twitter if it is.

PS:One CNC Night

Postby bdring » Wed Apr 17, 2013 1:22 pm

It is CNC Night at Pumping Station One again tomorrow (4/18/2013). I am taking over the running of it from the old leader who moved out of town.

This week we will be tweaking the Quantum Delta, setup up a mid sized CNC router and discussing the build of a filament extruder. Stop by if you are in the area. We can also help heal sick bots.

Here is a picture from CNC Night at PS1. The picture was taken by Aeva who works for Lulzbot. Lulzbot donated a 3D printer and she printed a octopus for us out of the wood filament.

At the far right is Catalin of eShapeOko fame. He was in town from England and stopped by. Next to him is Eric who is the current president of PS1.

We were all laughing at the Angel Hair pasta thing on thingiverse.

If you live in the Chicago area and have not visited PS1, you are a fool. It is always a lot of fun.

This week (5/2/2013) we have a presentation on using the Microsoft Kinect...hacking...programming with...

We will also be teaching/setting up the small CNC router with Mach3. As always, it is open to the public, so stop by.

We are also having our annual birthday party on Saturday 5/4/2013. It is always a lot of fun and open to the public. Last year we had 3 time machines there. I see one has shown up already.
