Alternative to makerslide.com for 2.x custom metal parts?

Postby leros » Sat Jun 08, 2013 7:59 pm

I've been trying to buy the custom metal parts from makerslide.com for a bit over a month and I'm getting frustrated as they always run out before I get a chance to buy. Is anybody else selling these parts?

I got my makerslide from Inventables already. I need the custom metal parts kit. This: http://store.makerslide.com/index.php?m ... ucts_id=91

My bad, I thought you meant the carraige plates and such. Bart usually posts complete kits for the 2.x, so maybe contact him and see if you can get a metal parts only kit.

According to this thread, it looks like Bart doesn't take orders. You just have to watch this thread and wait for another few to be added to the store.

Unfortunately, by the time I see that more kits have been made available, they're already sold out. Judging by the number of people in that thread showing interest, it looks like there might be more demand than Bart can supply. I'm a bit surprised that nobody else is making these kits.

Bump. Any suggestions? I've been waiting several months for parts to show up in the Makerslide store and I've got a WTB thread going in FS/FT with no luck.

Back in the day I bought two kits because I thought I'd use them both. I decided that my 2nd laser (if I ever build it) would be my own design, so I won't need one set. I'll try to photograph all the parts this weekend and either send them to you or post them on this thread. I presume they haven't changed significantly in the last year, but I don't know for sure. I assume you're in the US?

Sounds great. I wouldn't think the design has changed much. Yup, I'm in the US.

I'll PM you my details.

I would like to sell everything together, rather than just the metal parts, so I don't know whether that will curb your interest. If it does, pourcirm is next in line.

Here are the pictures. I imagine everything is in there, but I didn't actually look at the checklist vs the pictures. Also, the picture doesn't show the screws and nuts that go with the laser tube mounts, but they're in the bag.
