no 2.x XY Assembly PDF?

Postby bloq » Thu Mar 12, 2015 6:27 am

Hey all,

i am getting close to gathering parts and starting my build (a big misumi package arrived yesterday ; )
I am still a little bit confused about the documentation. On the 2.0 build there seem to be more detailed assembly
documents like the xy assembly. Did i miss something or why is there less documentation for the 2.x build?

thank you very much,

tm

The two relevant documents I believe are d30025_rev8.pdf & d30043_rev2.pdf. I found that for me, taking the entire CAD drawing (available as a STEP file) and looking at that was the most helpful (I could zoom around, remove (hide) parts etc). If you have a CAD package that reads STEP or a viewer, you'd find that helpful. I also have it as a 3dm file (I use MoI - http://moi3d.com/ ) as my design package.

Scott, this is a great idea! I did not yet think about this but now i got freecad and can take a look at the step model. it immediately increased my understanding of the project ...
