Motor tuning with DSP
Posted: Tue Jun 11, 2013 5:42 pmI have my laser table assembled and some simple test runs made. I'm having difficulty fine tuning the motors to make them smooth. I built a 1.x machine with DSP control (LaserCad).
Issue #1) When I power the table up, the motors will not find home by themselves...I have to give them a "nudge" then they move on their own.
Issue #2) I've finaly got them slowed down enough so they are not "jerky". However, they are not ideal.
These are the issues when running w/o the laser PS plugged in.
