Handheld LCD control unit for AWC608 DSP

Postby Speedythinker » Fri Sep 06, 2013 8:14 pm

Hello folks:

I'd to introduce a new toy that I made. It is a handheld LCD control unit to replace the panel mounted type for the Lightobject AWC608 DSP controller.
See a short demo on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... doXxYy0Tbc

10 unit should be available in about a month and I'm taking $100 for early bird purchase. After that, I'll sell it around $135~$145 on my website

Regards,
Marco

What kind of cost would I be looking at if I wanted to get this unit and just the AWC608? I have Bart's Laser Interface Board already so I only need those two additional pieces to max out my control capabilities.

Thanks.

Add $45 to upgrade the panel mounted LCD to the handheld type. Note that you will get only one LCD unit but not both with the extra amount you paid.

The handheld unit is still under production and it need about a month to receive it

Do you sell a version without the green control board? I don't really think I need that since I already have the BuildLog.net control board to connect to.

If you don't need the green board (the main board), then for sure you don't need the AWC608 DSP from us. You must have your own.
The LCD works only on the AWC608 board, nothing else

Is this handheld controller deal still available? I've done more research and cleared up the stupid questions I was asking previously and I'm ready to move forward with the DSP to finish my build.

Thanks,
Ryan

Hi Marco,

Does the hand controller add any extra functionality or features over the Panel mounted LCD?

Cheers

It added no extra features in additional to the panel mounted LCD unit.

FYI, I'll launch a 7" full touch screen LCD unit for a new model DSP in about 2~3 months. Stay tuned

Hey Marco,

Just curious if you had any more info to share about the LCD you mentioned here a few months ago. I'm working on the electronics of my build and I'm ready to knock out the controller. I'm probably going to be buying some mounts from you soon so I was hoping to place a single order for what I need. Worst case I'll probably buy your handheld unit, but if the LCD is something cool I may consider it instead.

Thanks,
Ryan
