AWC608 only running in fixed speed 70mm/s

Postby pinoynyc » Sun Apr 20, 2014 1:51 pm

Hi,

Just got a awc608, created a simple vector drawing in lasercad (i.e: 6x6' square) , and set this layer to 200mm/s (to any speed).
but when for some reason, awc608 would only run at 70mm/s when performing the operation regardless of what speed I set in lasercad. I even switched it to engrave, and it didn't change anything.

I'm able to jog around using awc608 arrow keys and lasercad buttons at higher speed without any any, but only when I start engraving or cutting it slowed down to 70mm/sec

Thanks,

Under Control-mode you can select Soft Layer params or LCD panel Params... If you selected LCD panel params you can enter any value you like in the software but your machine won't listen.. it will use the params you entered on the LCDpanel instead..
So, select Soft Layer Params and your machine will use the speeds and powers that you entered in your drawing in LaserCad.

Hi Kees,

Thanks for posting this. I haven't tried it yet as I'm away. I'll try it this weekend and give an update.

Thanks,
