There is a manual in the download section of thunder lasers web site but it seems to be down at the moment http://www.thunderlaser.com/
Ken from thunder laser emailed me about a new manual a few days ago , but I have not heard from him yet.

There is a TL manual for their DSP and it is pretty good but they are just about finished with a major overhauling of all their manuals including the DSP manual. I know that the LO DSP uses two switches to perform the auto focus, that's what Marco told me, and the TL DSP uses one non-contact switch. As for the rotational adapter function, I have not been able to get it to work for the LO DSP. The setup for the TL DSP rotational adapter is different than the LO DSP and it has documentation. I have not been able to find or get documentation on the LO DSP.

Bart went ahead and made the glued sub panel configuration. I ordered one and got it today.

Installation was easy:
    1. Remove the protective film from both pieces.
    2. Touch up edges - I used blue permanent marker.
    3. Scuff up the mating surfaces of the two panels - I used 320 grit sanding sponge material (3M).
    4. Mount the panel to the sub panel - the hole alignment and fit was perfect.
    5. Apply a small amount of super glue to underside of top panel.
    6. Drop control panel and sub panel into place on bottom of top panel.
    7. Apply pressure for about a minute.
    8. Connect cable to control panel.
    9. Install complete assemble on machine.

I will let the super glue cure for 24 hours before I do any excessive button pushing, but my light testing worked just fine.

All in all, it took about 20 minutes from unpack to power up. And here is the result...

I am pleased with the result. It was well worth the few dollars it took to upgrade.

That looks fantastic :D much better without the extra bolts
I went to fire up my CNC router today and the Y axis no longer works
( it has one of those crappy TB6560 based 3 in 1 boards ) :cry:

Bart are the files available yet ?

Tim do you have you air assist and exhaust fan triggered from the DSP ?
my i/o port 4 pins 5v, gnd, a pin for the cover switch and one for air and blower ? this pin has +5v all the time :?

I do not have them triggered. I want the water on 100% of the time. As for the air and fan, I have them running to a switched outlet on the wall. That way, the last thing I do before I hit start is flip the switch. Having it automated could be useful, but I don't always want the air or fan. So being able to easily do it manually is working for me.

I suppose if it were automated with a cutout switch for when I don't want it would work. Maybe I'll think about that.

My water runs permanently but I would like to trigger the assist air and fume extractor when I hit start
I would also have switches to disable air and exhaust when not wanted.
Currently assist air runs from my compressor via a 24v solenoid, I hoped I could use a 5v relay to trigger this.
And my extractor is not within easy reach so I wanted to control this as well.
