Just got my 2012 DSP from Lightobject in the mail. The control panel is marked in Chinese...

Is this normal? Doesn't match their website...

If you are talking about the actual display (not the buttons), then yes, it is normal. It works in several languages and Chinese is the default.

Press the Menu key
Press the UP arrow once (or the down arrow about 7 times - think you need to get to #8 - could be different on the 2012 model.)
Press Enter
Move arrow key to the correct language.
Press Enter
Press Escape

(I am doing this sequence from memory. Think it is also documented in the controller operation docs, but haven't looked at latest version of docs.)

That should do it!

Nope, it's the keypad itself, not the display, although I'm sure those instructions will come in handy as well.

Well....... You COULD learn Chinese

I am sure you have already notified Marco. In the meantime, here is what it SHOULD look like. You can try setting the language for the display itself and use this as a guide till it gets replaced.

Out of interest , What does the main control unit look like ?
Does it look the same as the old one

Dont really know what the old one looks like but will post a pic of the new one later today or tomorrow.

FYI, Lightobject has completely ignored me on this. No response at all to phone messages or email. Order at your own peril.

Marco is in China for all of November. That means there will likely be at least a 12 hour delay in responding to emails and the forum. The may also be times when access to the Internet is restricted by the Chinese government.
