haven't visited here a while, mostly due to the fact that my Hadron just works
But now I have a print that I have a problem with. It's just slightly too tall. It's the Easy Printing Electric Violin, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:767536
, by firecardenal. It is almost exactly 20cm tall, and my Hadron is able to do 19cm max, even with longer couplers and all. I could make do with hacks, like putting a thick shim underneath the extruder holder, but I'd much rather do things properly. So it looks like a longer Z axis is in order.
Unfortunately, most of the webshops don't carry the Hadron anymore, and certainly not any upgrades. Can you guys give me a hint where to get longer lead screws? They are not regular M8s, are they? So simple threaded rod from the hardware store is problematic, right?
