Cabling / plugs at the motors / endstops?

Postby bjoerngiesler » Wed Apr 18, 2012 2:01 pm

Hi,

I've built up my Hadron and am currently hooking it up to a RAMPS. I'm not currently running my cables through the frame yet since I don't have access to a drill press, but will be in the future.

Question to the experts: When you've run your cables through the extrusions, what do you do on the motor / endstop side of things? Do you just solder them hard to the motor cables, or do you use male / female plugs? And if so, which kind? Are they small enough so that the cables could be pulled out of the extrusions for disassembly and reinserted later?

Thanks a lot,
Björn

Your question is addressed in the Wiring section of the wiki. Bart used 4 pin Molex connectors for the motors and insulated Faston terminal connectors for the endstops.
