Thanks, I'm actually adding the Azteeg holes right now.

Speaking of changes...
Is the gantry plate extended to accomodate Wade's extruder w/ the run of the mill NEMA17?

The original ORD Bot gantry wasn't long enough, so i had to have an adapter/extender plate laser cut.
I'm not sure if the stock Hadron design was changed in the meantime.

Does it need to be wider? Or does the flange need to be deeper? And how much deeper?

It should be deeper. Not sure by how much, but the distance from the big 12mm hole in the top right (not sure what it was originally intended for, i use it for the hot-end cabling) to the extruder mounting holes should be cca 40mm. Here's a drawing of the adapter/extender, if that helps:

Thanks much! I'm totally re-drawing the original design from the DXF and incorporating your changes into it directly now.

Please disregard the position of the semi-circular slot on my drawing, it's moved much further forward than the original (and is smaller), which would probably interfere with the mounting of makerbot and makergear extruders.

Ha! I had just noticed that and was going to use the original but make it deeper - sound like I guessed right. I'm almost done with modeling this now.

Here is the updated version. This is a mix of the original with your changes, the extra holes on the other side, and the thicker plate. This increases the size of the material a fair bit and it makes the whole thing more expensive and heavier. I don't think I like it. What extruder did not fit on it by default?

Edit: I just saw that you said it was a problem with the Wade's Extruder. Hrmm, that's one of the best DIY ones out there currently, probably important to support that.

the stock bracket fits SOME models of Wades extruders. I run a Wades Reloaded (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:18379) and all I needed to do to get it to fit with a Nema17 was turn it around (motor shaft facing towards the bracket) and drill out the 2 mounting holes for M4 bolts. You can see pictures of how I mounted it in my build thread.

Wade's Reloaded and Greg's (and probably other similar variants) do fit.
The stock does not, although it might if you use a smaller stepper.

Stock Wade's w/ a 35-40mm deep NEMA17 does not.

Re: weight, i've currently got Wade's + Arcol.hu + a pretty thick steel adapter plate on it and it doesn't seem heavy enough to impede the functionality in any way. Maybe if i was running it at supercrazyfast speeds/jerks/accelerations...
