QU-BD Extruder Drive Gear

Postby BingLast » Sun Dec 23, 2012 4:14 pm

Been getting really frustrated with my QU-BD Extruder. I just can't get a consistent flow of the filament. The filament just continues to slip and ultimately gets jammed. I think the heater block can't maintain the correct temperature and keep the filament in a molten state and the thermistor is not responding fast enough. The QU-BD drive gear is not really the best design also.

I was wondering if i can use a mk7 drive gear as replacement.

From reading around (here and elsewhere) a few people have been reporting success. I picked one up off eBay but haven't had the chance to fit it yet (I'm stuck in bed for three months following surgery; my ORD Bot is sitting in the garage, calling out to me as I type!).
