z axis wobble

Guys i am planning to add shaft guides, do you guys think this might work or am i wasting my time. see images enclosed..

I'd say you're wasting your time, but that may be simply because I fail to see how they could ever be useful.

Perhaps if you anchor your guide better
to the bottom beam and the top cross piece
it may work.
The way you have it on a wobbley motor mount and on the gantry
may even make the wobble worse.

Have you thought of replacing hard couplers with flexible couplings?

Is your wobble ruining your prints?

I think that the makerslides are rigid enough and doesn't really need the help of the additional rods. Z wobble has already been shown in this forum to be fixed by making sure that the z threaded rods and z nuts are in the same axis as the motor shaft if you're threaded rod is straight. I think that allowing some lateral freedom for the nut and threaded rod as I proposed in this forum and thingiverse would address bent rods as long as it's not severe.
