Software: Profiles

Hi,
I'm a few days or minutes away from applying power. I'm about nervous about the software path, but through diligence, I should be able to persevere.

I tried Cura and it doesn't work on my PC (Blacked out preview screen). Kisslicer seems to work well and will slice files just fine.
Is anyone willing to share their printer and print quality profiles that they have been successful with?

And does Kisslicer PRINT the file? or just slice the file? Are there any simple standalone printer software (pronterface appears very complicated to setup and install).
