Geoff,

The clear plastic parts look very cool.

I am pleased with them they do look very nice.

When I went to order the parts to be cut I originally was going to go for red or dark green, but they only had the clear in stock and using one of the other colours meant I had to wait a week, so clear it was.

Geoff

Your Motor Bracket looks nice. Using 1.5mm or 3mm Brackets the space for the belt is short, so I'm wondering whether you can mount the belt? As far as I can see your is 5 or 6 mm.

The laser cut parts are all 6mm. Since I got them I've read some of the other blogs and realise that I might have a clearance problem.

At the moment the my plan is to wait until the belts arrive and see what I can do.I think the main problem is going to be the Idler end rather than the motor end.

I put some spacers under the Y platform to raise it up a little
to keep the belt from contacting the platform.
The spacers have to be above the eccentric nuts
and you may want to space the belt clamp down.

I need to some part laser cut for this, so I will probably hat the idler end recut as 3mm then if needed use the spacers under the Y.
