Motors turning only one way

Postby adamg » Sun Mar 24, 2013 1:31 pm

I built an ORDBOT that I bought last September. The issue is I can't get the motors to turn both ways. I unplugged all drivers but one, so there is nothing connected to the boars except that one driver and motor. I bought the whole thing as a kit so I am assuming the power supply is good and all that. For software I am using Arduino0023, Sprinter firmware 0018. And replicator-G 0024 for the controls.

Any Ideas on how to fix this and get to printing would be MUCH appreciated as I am not sure what my next step should be.

Thank you :)

With Marlin, until you home the axes, they will only go one direction. I can't remember if it only does this when there's an endstop connected or not.

@Zat :) is right. It is probably related to the end stops. You can disable them in firmware or even jumper them out on the board temporarily.

I disabled the limit switches in the firmware and the motors work fine.
Thank you for the help!!

Next is the extruder. Well, maybe the limit switches first :)
