These copper heatsinks would fit the top of the chip.

Hey royco,

So if I understand it correctly, I just need to wire the opto switch from sparkfun to their board

and the Azteeg will recognize it?

Thanks for the info,

@luis,

Yes, That would work. The firmware just needs to see the sig line disconnecting/connecting to ground for it to work.

So I got my Hadron wired up to the Azteeg, but I'm a total noob. The wiki isn't very descriptive on what exactly to do next. I downloaded Marlin, installed Pronterface. The D3 light is on, D4 and D5 flash when I first plug in the USB to my computer. I tried uploading Marlin, and I get an error, and Pronterface can't connect.

Can you give a step by step how to get this running? I see the user guide on your website isn't posted yet either, so I'm a bit lost.

edit: it must be something simple, but heres the error code when trying to upload: c:/program files (x86)/arduino-0022/hardware/tools/avr/bin/../lib/gcc/avr/4.3.2/../../../../avr/lib/avr5/crtm644p.o: In function `__vector_default':

@enraged Did you move the Sanguino folder that comes with Marlin to the Arduino Hardware folder? Then select the Sanguino from Tools-->Boards. Then try uploading again.

Yes I did that.

All that happens when I plug it in is the motors make a bunch of noise, and RX and TX flash. My other Arduino has a light on for whenever it's plugged in to USB. Should I be removing the reset jumper at some point?

The motors not moving/making noise is probably a motor wiring mix up. The TX and RX LEDs should not blink unless there is communication with the USB, it could indicate that the USB chip is not powered up properly. Please check that the jumper near the fuse is on, move the jumper above the D3 to USB(right side) for testing and the reset jumper is on. Disconnect your main power, heat bed and hotend or you can just remove the fuse. This would allow the board to be powered via USB, now try uploading the firmware again.
