Hadron Gantry Drawing

Postby RSWeaverAz » Mon Jul 16, 2012 9:46 pm

Hi All:
I went looking for the Hadron Gantry drawing which should be D30052 acording to the BOM
(or D30062 if using some of the other Hadron naming conventions).

No PDF file, seems there should be one if only for the slight changes in makerslide length.

The drawings can be extremely helpfull in construction.

My apologies if this is discussed elsewhere, the search engine returns too many words for "Hadron Gantry".

Go via the assembly instructions on the wiki - they're what I've been using and have all the information you should need. The link to the gantry PDF is on this page:

http://www.buildlog.net/wiki/doku.php?id=ord:gantryassy

...or, directly:

Thanks, I found those some time ago and they do indeed provide almost all of the info needed.

I was hoping there was a Hadron version that never got posted to the BOM or the Wiki.

I don't think there's a difference in the gantry beyond the length of the makerslide. Is there a particular piece of information that you need to know? It may be that it can be inferred from elsewhere. You've kind of concerned me - now I'm worried that I missed something! :?

No info needed, I'm being a bit anal about it ...
the Quantum gantry drawing D30051 has everything you need relative to assembly.

the Quantum makerslide length can be found in the BOM, ie part number B17022-230 under the Quantum Gantry section P/N D30051,
the Hadron makerslide length is also in the BOM, ie part number B17022-330 under the Hadron Gantry Section (P/N D30052).

ya it would be nice to have P/N D30052 as a pdf file but its not fatal.

I'll work on it

I'll work on that drawing when I get a chance.

It seems like true assembly drawings like this are pretty rare and "old school" in the open source community. It is probably because they take a lot of time and given that the 3D sources are available, are not really needed. I still like them. I find it a good way to make to do a good second review of the design. I skipped this one because like someone said...it is pretty redundant with the Quantum version.
