Hi Bart,

Thanks for offering the skins again. I have a question; will you be providing the DSP control panel insert with the skins?

It's listed as optional on the skins drawing and I would like one.

Yes...DSP Adapter Included

Yes it will be included. It bolts to the DSP and you glue it to the underside of the top right skin with super glue.

Just for fun...attached is a 3D PDF of what you get.

Thanks Bart.

3D PDF is cool! What did you use to generate it?

The capability is native to my Pro/E. I have found that 3D PDF are extremely slow on anything with a lot of parts so I usually avoid it.

Shipping charge problem

Postby bdring » Mon Aug 13, 2012 6:33 pm

I am having trouble with the free shipping. I think it is due to the window not being free shipping. I cannot make the window "free" because someone will start ordering windows alone. If you were charged shipping I will refund it.

Thanks Bart - I noticed it, but figured: what the hell, the guy's doing me a huge favour getting all these things cut for me :)

Don't bother with the refund - buy yourself a beer on me :)

Shame about the US only thing, but I appreciate the extra hassle international shipping would entail.

I ordered some aluminium composite sheet cut-to-size locally (Melbourne, Australia), and it worked out to less than $100 with delivery. Still have to drill holes, cut slots, etc. but the stuff is very pleasant to work with.

Received all the raw materials

Postby bdring » Fri Aug 24, 2012 7:00 pm

I just got the big delivery on the skin material. The local supplier only had half the required material and had to get more.

I have to take a day off work to accept the deliveries. I did not want to take two days off, so I waited until they had it all in one delivery. The window material came in yesterday too.

I had a few sheets left over from the last batch so I did get a jump on the cutting. Now that the windows are here order should be starting soon.

I am searching locally for material to make skins.
What should I look for?

I found the answer in Skin Drawings "AluPanel" or equivalent.

Where can I find proper material?

Need to find it locally as I have made some modifications.
