New SeeMeCNC Extruder

This looks like an interesting extruder that can be setup many ways, with multiple hot end options and even a bowden.

I bought (2) yesterday and got a shipping notice. I have a MakerGear nozzle and a J Head that should snap right in. They are both 1.75mm. I can't see direct drive working to well with 3mm though. I am going to play with a couple options for mounting it to an ORD Bot.

Please keep us informed, if it turns out to work well I think I'll end up getting one for my deltabot build.

I also bought one and have received the shipping notice. Here's the SeeMeCNC forum post on it. http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=1840

Here's the video of it they put out. I saw Bart request STEP files from them, but they may not be available until after Maker Faire as they're headed that way now.

I did not formally request STEP files. I mentioned that on Twitter, but not directly. I did not want to bother them on a busy week.

I know John Oly and we trade email on various topics every so often. A STEP is probably not required to move forward anyways

Sorry, didn't mean to put words in your mouth or suggest something. Thanks for clarifying.

Oh, just tracked this down while waiting for a meeting. It appears to include a zip with STLs and lots of other fun stuff.

The SAT file loaded fine. It going to be easy to mount it to the ORD Bots and Deltas.

What do people here think of the torque available with this? I've seen some references to being under powered for 3mm but as a 1.75 direct drive method maybe fine?
I ask as I've been going nuts trying to decide on extruder/hot end options for my Hadron and was about to ask someone to print me off a modified (to match ord x carriage holes) aluminatus extruder body and go with the planetary gear nema 11 Trinity has. But now I'm leaning to this extruder.... could I mount it to the geared nema11?

Gah, death by too many options! ;)

Received shipping notice today, so I'll be trying it on my Printrbot with 3mm filament.
