Silicone Thermal Compound for J-Head

Postby oldrayj » Wed Nov 13, 2013 9:37 pm

Hotends.com recommends using silicone thermal compound when mounting the power resistor. Anyone have a recommendation for a suitable compound and a good source? The ones I have found are only god for operating temperatures up to 200 degrees celsius. Not enough for ABS. Thanks.

I used this stuff for the thermistor:

I did not use anything for the power resistor. Bending the wires kept it in place.
