The belt pitch (teeth per inch) is used to calculate your resolution (steps/in). In reality the belt pitch and pulley pitch sort of null each other out and it comes down to diameter. A pulley with half the pitch can still get the same steps/in if it has the same pitch diameter. Some belts have higher strength. Some belts have higher accuracy. Stock drive (
