Glue question

Postby J45on » Sun May 29, 2011 8:17 pm

In the build manual high impact glue is mentioned along with a picture of Loctite 409
It says "I used (2) 2g tubes of glue to glue all rails"
I can only find Loctite 409 in 20g tubes in the UK ( and its very expensive, equivalent to 34 USD  )
Is the 2g a typo or is it available in the US in 2g tubes ?

It is available in smaller tubes, but any good "super glue" will do.

I used Loctite Superglue Ultra Gel in a 4g dispenser which costs about $4.50 at Ace Hardware. The gel is very nice to work with. The package does say "high impact". One 4g container would have been enough if I'd used slightly less glue.
