Gluing v-wheels onto bearings

What methods have you used to ensure adhesion of the v-wheel onto the bearings? I tried without doing anything to either surface and that didn't work out well.

All I do is clean the wheel surface, smear a tiny bit of super glue on the inside of the v wheel and push in the wheel. I rotate the bearing a few times to make sure no glue got inside the bearing. I have done dozens and they all have very high push out resistance. I can do it for you if you are having trouble.

Clean the wheel surface with mineral spirits?

What's a good "smearing" tool?

You can use either one. I used the "F" version on the original laser. The one on the BOM is the official one. I will fix the drawing when I get a chance.

The surface is so smooth I just used a a paper towel with nothing for cleaning, but mineral spirits would work if you don't get any inside the bearings.

I just drag the tip of the super glue dispenser around the inside of the wheel. You just want a thin coating, because the bearing will wipe it as it goes in and you don't want the excess to get in the bearing.
