too cold for a laser

Postby zachjowi » Sat Nov 30, 2013 1:46 am

Currently I have a bare laser tube sitting in the box out in my garage. It's getting child out there around 0 degrees. I'm going to install it eventually in my apartment but am wondering if I need to do anything special so it's not too cold. Well it damage the tube sitting in the cold or bringing it inside into the warm?

The cold shouldn't do anything to the bare tube. With water in it, if it freezes it will break.
