Do you have any idea of the weights of these coletech parts?

Here is the head with no lens or mirror fitted.

222 grams (7.82oz)

The lens and mirror would only weigh 10 or so grams.

iGull, do you happen to have other sketches in sketchup too ? It could help me drastically to design my machine.

That coletech model allready helps a lot.
By the way, I see on coletech ebay site they have multiple versions. What version should I best buy ? (I intend to use a 80Watt laser tube from them too) so probably need little better mirrors or is that no problem for 80 watts ?

Kind regards,

Bart

Mike or Igull, can I ask you what lens you have in the coletech holder?

And about how low below the head itself is then the focal point (my Z table should be able to reach that point)

It is maybe not so interesting to say how low beneath the head since the head is periscopic, but maybe you could explain the focal distance based on a fixed point on that laser head?

I am currently designing my Z table and would need to know how high and low it will have to get.
Currently I ordered a coletech head with 2 inch (50,8mm) focal distance , but I want to make it also possible for my table to go low enough to handle a 100mm focal distance too in the future.

Thanks,

Bart
