I remember waiting a few YEARS for McMaster-Carr to have a good online order system. Their 3" thick catalog didn't go online overnight. To their credit, they took their time and got it right. It's not perfect, but it's very easy to use because it works the way the CUSTOMER wants to use it, and it just keeps getting better with CAD drawings readily available, etc. I did find a pricing error yesterday, which surprised me. I emailed McMaster-Carr so they could fix it. Those problems are very rare. I like searching for parts, comparing them and ordering them at McMaster-Carr. I particularly appreciate the way they provide useful design tips and specifications. I can generally design stuff as I'm shopping.

When that's out of beta

Don't hold your breath. That beta is older than Buildlog.net. It still is great for finding stuff.
