Alternate Skin Color

Postby bdring » Mon Sep 05, 2011 11:05 pm

I got a request for a custom skin color. It is not something I want to do a lot of, but I thought it would be fun to try a new color. I had to charge $45 extra for the custom programming and extra material. I normally run arrays of the same skin panel of the large sheets to get a better yield. I get about 10 sets or out 7 sheets.

The color was brushed black. Normally one side is matt and the other gloss. On this it was one side brushed black and the other side brushed gold or bronze. The grain direction is vertical.

I think it will look great, but I am sticking with the blue as the standard.

I picked up a sheet of the plain black alupanel for my skins. Now to decide whether to use the glossy or matte side.
