Has anyone bought Extrusion from Misumi in the UK and taken advantage of there cutting service. It appears just like the US version of the website you can order any length of extrusion and they will cut it to size for you. What I am wondering about is the tolerances when they cut them? How close to your spec'ed sizes did the extrusion length arrive. I ask because they have the option for you to pay quite a lot more per cut to have it cut to exacting tolerances, but I assume most people including bart have just gone for the standard cut.

The other option would be to get them cut oversized and trim them back.

I think their standard cut is better than you could do at home. I think extra tolerance option is going to be lost after assembly anyway. The cut is super clean without any burrs.

From their webpage:

Length tolerance is also ±0.5mm, unless high precision cut alteration is specified (±0.2mm or less)

I suspect that their actual cuts are better than advertised as well.
