MakerBot Electronics

I noticed some new "things" at Thingiverse for MakerBot electronics.

They are the MightyBoard and BotStep17

The BotStep looks to be a Pololu compatible driver board using the A4982 chip instead of the A4988. It has one less microstep pin so it has fewer resolutions. It skips 1/8 mode. They use the extra pin to set current via digital pot. From the Thingiverse picture it looks the board is assembled upside down which might allow you to stick the heatsink to the backside for a more direct thermal path to the die.
