I have spent 3 months tring to get these to work. Bought two of these as I was in hopes that the first was buggy. No luck, the second one was the same as the first. Having same types of issues mentioned above on PLA and I have implemented all the same hacks mention above and more. I think I have finally fix my issues....

Last week the order for a new J-Head came in. Luckly I was able to babysit a print job long enuff to get a new nozzel holder printed for the j-head. I'm now using the QU-BD's for spare parts.

Please e-mail me your address at chelseat@qu-bd.com and I will send a new barrel out to you to test.

What brand of PLA are you using out of curiosity?

We haven't had any problems with the Ultimachine filament at our shop.

The couple people that have e-mailed me, your new barrels are on the way.

Just got done running two consecutive 2hr print jobs using glow in the dark PLA and not a single issue. This is the first time since I have built my ORD Bot that I have not had to watch every layer go down to see if I have a jam.

I made an adapter block to replace the aluminum block of the QU-BD that allows for the j-head to be mounted. I plan on desinging a better rig that will raise up the hot end as this setup take away from my Z. Really at this point I'm just glad to have a reliable hot end that is not jamming with PLA.

I bought my J-Head from the source at http://hotends.com and needed to buy it by the parts as he currently does not have any pre assembled. I made sure I got the 1.75 version with a .40 nozzle as my stock of 1.75 PLA has grown. When it arrived it was assembled, my kudos to hotends.

Cannot say that I'm crazy about testing any more QU-BD parts or products. Done that for the last 3 month and don't want the t-shirt.
