Does anyone know where to get a 3D STEP file of a J-Head Barrel/Nozzle?

I don't, but I'm curious as to what your plans are.
(coincidentally, I spent part of yesterday evening trying to figure out how to use a j-head with a modification of your "improved qu-bd drive")

My plans are to find a way to print reliably in PLA. The first target is the Delta. I bought a J-Head off eBay early last week. eBay says it shipped with no tracking number and expected delivery before March 27th :?:

I ordered mine from hotends.com last Friday during their weekly sales event.
I'm hoping it will come in today or tomorrow so I can play with it this weekend.

Bart,

Excellent choice, In my experience the J-head and its derivatives are excellent. My ord has been printing PLA very happily with a Ubis (the prinrbot j-head derivative) and I've seen J-heads run for MANY hours at my local hackerspace.

He must have bought it from China. Chinese New Year starts up soon and that pretty much kills the month of February and the first week of March for shipping from there. Chinese j-heads are usually not made to proper specs either, so be careful using it.

I am sure it will be here any day now. That is just the default reply on the untracked economy international orders.

Enough chatter...who has a STEP file?

Oops, forgot to respond to the original post: I'm pretty sure he has said previously in IRC that there is only the drawings, no 3D file.

here you go.

I built them from the drawings, so they should be accurate, assuming the drawings are accurate....
