Cheap commercial nozzles

We use Nordson hot glue machines at work for gluing caps on aseptic packages as well on the casing machines that put the product in cardboard boxes. These are the nozzles we use on the glue machines, they have a brass body with a stainless insert and are pretty well made, might be a good source for a cheap nozzle in lots of available sizes:

wow, those are cheap, and I'm sure the quality and consistency must be good.

Do you know what size thread they are?

I've run about 5 kg of PLA and may a pound of ABS through my .5mm ubis at this point with no jams. I just switched to the .35mm tip, so we'll see how that goes.

Even though they are more expensive than other nozzles, they do have a stainless steel insert, which must help with wear. OTOH, how much does a brass nozzle wear, after all?

The bore on them is nice and smooth. Just looking at the other nozzles I would guess the glue ones are better. The tips are not just drilled. It looks like they are finished by ballizing or some other finish process. I'll grab an old one and take a pic through the scope or macro lens.

I believe the threads are 8mm or 5/16. Not sure which. Nordson seems to use both metric and imperial sizes in their glue machine, though I expect it to be metric.

Now, there is a huge offer of nozzles in the 0.35mm and above for mainstream PLA/ABS printing.

It becomes more difficult to source more specific nozzles, when targeting high-temp for PC printing, fine extrusion and small footprint dualtrusion.
