Cheap Touch Screen for Printers, etc

FYI: I saw this touchscreen interface at Maker Faire on a small delta.

It shows a different screen, but it was running a special version of Pronterface when I saw it.

The tablet is a 7" Pengpod that sells for $110.

I wonder if the hardware used for this RasPi w/ 7" touchscreen would be easy enough to re-purpose.

He's using a this screen which looks to be powered by 12V so that's easy. The 5V Raspberry Pi will need a bit of help potentially, but you could solve that by throwing in one of these.
