Gettting Started

Postby atechman » Tue Apr 17, 2012 1:05 am

It seems when I decide to do something I am the last one to the gate. I want to build the laser 1 because I like building things and 2 it will compliment the work I do on my cnc router. I have my quote in Q for the frame and I see I can order the makerslide rails from Inventables, some parts i should be able to cut on my router. I see from the post that most of the other kits are in hold. Does anyone know if any of these parts are available somewhere else or was this the only place they were made. Any help would greatly be appreciated I really want to have a successful project.

Thanks Chuck

I have another question to anyone who has built the project from the drawings, A lot of things here are metric, so are all the dimensions on the drawings metric or are they just standard decimal.

Thanks

Hi All:

The MakerSlide components from Inventables I mentioned in a earlier post in "Getting Started" are now showing up as available to put in your cart.

Doesn't seem to be a way to combine or add to original orders, I have Sent them a email about that.

Also no Dual V-wheel ... yet

Most items can be seen here: https://www.inventables.com/categories/innovative-materials/components/mechanical

I have almost everything I need on order for getting started except for a few parts I need drawings for. I can't seem to find the drawings for part B17014 Bearing bracket (y) B17006 Bearing bracket and B17012 Belt Tensioner. Any help with these parts will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Chuck
