The air nozzle looks very printable to me. I found Bart's 2d drawing. Does anyone know if there is a 3D CAD/Step file for it?

It was not designed to be printed, but here is the STEP file.

I don't know what happens if the laser strikes it with pressurized air flowing. You either get a blow torch or the laser just creates a hole. The laser is not tightly focused so the beam is wide and dangerous.

Bart, This is my first laser build, so I'm gonna take that as good advice, and stick with metal.

Did you cut your nozzles from aluminum or stainless?

Thanks,

Bernie

It is aluminum and a bit heavy. I would not suggest stainless.

Found one nozzle. It does not have the barbed fitting, but that is a cheap $2 Home Depot item. The first PM to me gets it for $22 + $6 shipping.

I believe that I may have one of he BDRING nozzles hanging around somewhere that is not going to be used. I do a lot of engraving using a 25.4 lens and the nozzle is too long to be used. I did have to shave off a small amount on one side so it would clear one side of the laser gantry. But it is fully functional. PM if you are interested.
