The Box.

All parts layed out.

The white paper is the parts checklist that is included in the package so checking it if something is missing will be easy and quick.
Everything is well protected and the makerslide looks like they were cut from the factory and already pre-tapped for the one foot.
The only thing I needed to do was buff the oval hole for the handle since they are a little sharp from the cutting process (my first project will be a handle grip once I get this thing running).

Now let the build begin.

Handle Hole

Postby bdring » Wed Apr 04, 2012 5:52 pm

Even if the handle hole is not rough, the material is thin and probably not comfortable for carrying the ORD Bot for long times. I think a nice 3D printed insert with rounded edges would be cool. you can also buy rubber edge trim, but I think something printed would be cooler.

I received my Hadron kit today. All parts present and in perfect condition.

I have an Azteeq board that I haven't test yet. It looks great also.

Cheers to all,
Leon

another option for the handle hole is Sugru: http://www.sugru.com/

I have some and it's great for making parts like this. You can even sculpt in finger grooves.

A bit of continuous grommet also works to make the handle less of a guillotine. Sorry, no part number available.
