Slippers for the Hadron

My Hadron is so fast that I have to brake it. I put slippers under the feet!

Today I tried printing some large filament spooler brackets at a higher speed and left the bot unattended for a while. I was surprised to find It had walked to the end of the table :o
I came in just in time to save it from stepping off!
Thanks for the slippers. I'll print them asap. What's the white material on the under side?

I'd consider cutting up a cheap neoprene mouse pad for non-skid pads. Would be better than felt.

@ TLHarrell

I've found a similar material, indeed it's much better than felt.

Nice, had the same problem solved it with a piece of rubber tubing, not as cute as the slippers but very effective. (The same tubing I used for the printed z couplings (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9622) which removed a lot of wobbling).

One way to avoid having a walking bot is to reduce the maximum acceleration from the default 9000 to something like 4500 in Marlin or Sprinter.

One can try and see the difference by sending an M202 X4500 Y4500 through the Pronterface command line and then move the axes by 10mm at a time.
Then do the same for the default accel. with M202 X9000 Y9000.

Reducing the max acceleration helped me attain higher speeds, as I was forced to reduce speed when printing certain objects due to Y-axis motor skipping steps. Why the Y-axis motor and not the X motor I still don't know.

Did you try to adjust the trimpot on the stepper driver control?
