Bart,

Are the aluminum spacers that are on the Inventables (https://www.inventables.com/technologie ... um-spacers) site the same ones that you used to sell on the makerslide site. Will they still fit the 5mm screw without having to be drilled to be .196 in ID?

Thanks,
Troy

For 5mm screw, hole #12 is required, I think.

Found 2 suppliers for 1/4" length, 3/8" OD #10 hole probably shipping worldwide. It is aluminum, not stainless steel.
http://aluminumspacers.com%20 > .4$ (go%20for%20#AS38-10-16)
http://www.alliedelec.com/search/productdetail.aspx?SKU=70211084 > .5$
http://www.widgetco.com/12-by-1-4-inch-aluminum-spacers > .58$

And inventables, already indicated here:
https://www.inventables.com/technologies/aluminum-spacers 25312-13 << #12 hole

I plan to order some stainless spacer (http://www.mcmaster.com/#92320a230/=oqsiyc). << #12 hole
I could place a larger order and reship from Europe, if many could be interested in getting some.

I got #10 spacers from aluminumspacers.com in the hope that they would fit -- they don't, they're very precisely 0.192" ID. However, they do some metric sizes now, so it doesn't hurt to ask them -- I'm not sure what their minimum order quantities are.

I have 1/4" and 1" M5 spacers (5.1 mm ID, 8 mm OD) in my store (store.amberspyglass.co.uk). Shipping such small bits is fairly cheap, even to the US.

I ended up ordering a whole set of replacement stainless steel spacers from McMaster. Here are the part numbers and links:

V-Wheel spacers: 92415A742 http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/119/3229/=or7kup

Motor spacers: 92320A212 http://www.mcmaster.com/#92320a212/=or7lm9

not sure where these go but I ordered them since they were on the BOM: 92320A213 http://www.mcmaster.com/#92320a213/=or7m2t

I got them yesterday and the V-Wheel spacers do in fact fit what I presume are the #10 screws that came on my RRP kit. I went ahead and ordered new spacers since a few of my nylon spacers that came with the kit were tightened so much that I could tell with just an eyeball that the v-wheels were sitting at an angle. The new stainless spacers are a larger OD but they are about the same OD as the nuts so I don't think it will be an issue on the bearings. I installed them this evening and I really like how solid the v-wheels feel. The spacers fit perfectly on the screws. Here are a few pics.

Some of the bearing I got in the kit seem like they are a little easier to rotate than some of the other bearings. Is this normal?
