Configuration.h for Hadron with SeemeCNC EZstruder

Postby fsamir » Wed Dec 25, 2013 3:45 am

Hi all,

can someone please send me a Configuration.h for a Hadron with SeemeCNC ezstruder?

I got a second hand hadron and it didn't come with the firmware.

Thanks

That's a pretty general question and really depends more on your electronics than the SeeMeCNC extruder. Do you have an Azteeg X1, X3, RAMPS, etc. Also, which firmware are you wanting to use Repetrier Firmware, Marlin, etc. Also, what endstops and where are they located, this matters in how your configuration.h is setup.

That's the tip of the iceberg.

RAMPS 1.4, Marlin FW (but any FW would be fine), magnetic endstops (but I am not interested in this bit of the config).

I should have mentioned that I am particularly interested in solving a problem with filament slip. I have already tweaked a Marlin config, but filament keeps slipping and I wanted to have a base for comparison. Makes sense?

You may want to look at topic 2050 for details on configuring the SeeMeCNC EZstruder. The calculations that Bart Dring did for it have worked well for me. The rest of the stuff should be irrelevant as it regards filament slipping. The hotend may be involved. When you say slipping, what do you mean? Do you have any images?

Thanks, I will have a at the topic.

By slipping I mean that I can hear it slipping and see the motor going backwards a couple of mm every time it happens.

I've checked the topic and that is the one I'd used to setup my printer. Yet, the filament slips :S

Are you describing skipping steps? Have you adjusted the pots on the motor driver?

Yes, I think this is fsamir's problem, as he said:

[...]and see the motor going backwards a couple of mm every time it happens

What config are your using? Bowden-ed, or normal extruder? I recently switched to Bowden, and my motor is not powerfull enough to drive the filament at my previous printing speed (100mm/s)... I plan to order a bigger motor:

Direct drive extruder.

Pior to the Ezstruder I was using a Makergear extruder, which has got a gear box and is much more forgiving and allowed for higher speeds.
