Arduino Stepper Shield Gerbers & Bill of Material Available?

Postby Zat German » Thu Mar 15, 2012 4:19 am

Are you still planning on making the gerbers and a possibly a bill of material available for your Arduino Stepper Shield? According to your blog post on Aug. 9, 2011, it says that the gerbers and a drawing are "coming soon."

I would really like to get one of these and it looks simple enough to assemble that I could do it myself with a service like BatchPCB with the necessary files.

I just ordered a few more of these with some changes. The 4th driver can now be used as a fourth axis, ganged with the Y for driving 2 steppers on the Y or it can be used to drive a spindle. There are some jumpers that select the mode. The Gerber files are on another computer. I will post them to this thread when I get access to that computer.

Here is the latest Gerber files and schematic. This rev was ordered a few days ago and is untested, but low risk.

Changes....

Now Stock GRBL pinout (XYZ)
Change 0.1uf Caps to smaller footprint
Configurable 4th axis.

Here is the users guide with the parts list. It will need a new picture etc when a unit is built.

If you want to buy some boards from me, let me know, but feel free to get your own.

Hi Bart - I'm interested in picking up a board from you and a kit if you have it available. I'll send you a PM.

Hi Bart, is it possible to redo the drill file for the Arduino Stepper Shield? The drill file that you provided does not contain any tool size information and BatchPCB won't accept it.

I am not at home right now. I kitted 9 of these last night. 6 are left. If you want one, please reply on the post. $25 + $6.50 shipping. Ships on Monday.

The r3 of the board works great. I ordered one last week and built it yesterday. Thanks Bart!
